D.I.Y. Ornament

Let’s face it, sometimes we just cant seem to find that perfect color christmas ornament to match our home decor. Luckily, there’s an abundance of paint colors! So why not make your own? It’s a cheap and easy D.I.Y!

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Glass or plastic christmas ornaments (you can find these at your local craft store, in a variety of shapes and sizes. I got mine at Michael’s)
  • Paint!

If you want to get more creative you can also use decoupage and a variety of materials.

If you are opting for paint, simply take the top off the ornament and  squeeze your desired color inside. A little goes a long way!

Once you’ve squeezed some paint into the ornament, slowly swirl it around to fully coat the inside.

When the ornament has been fully coated, place it upside down in the plastic tray.  Placing it upside down will allow for any excess paint to drain out of the ornament while drying.
or6I let mine sit overnight to ensure they were dry before hanging.

or2I also made  a snowball ornament by pulling apart cotton balls and stuffing them inside. So cute!

Happy experimenting!
