This matching set is everything! I got so many compliments on it while walking along the docks. It has great movement and is so lightweight and comfortable. Add just a pop of red like I did with my lips and bag, or sandals and it is perfect for the fourth of July!
Good morning friends! I hope everyone had as much fun as we did playing in the sun over the weekend! We were out and about everyday. On Friday we went for a walk around the lake and then headed to my girlfriends pool for some much need R&R!
They look so serious but they had a great time splashing around in the water
AJ played in a softball tournament in Bellingham on Saturday so coconut and I hit the mall real quick and then headed to my girlfriends for a little backyard BBQ. We were too busy socializing and playing to take pictures, but my girl did hop on her first motorized little quad and handled it like a champ!
We wound down the weekend on Sunday by hitting the Mukilteo waterfront before heading to my parent’s house to celebrate AJ and Erika’s birthdays with a delicious seafood boil.
Ever since our precious little girl was born time has been flying by! Between the walking, talking (sometimes screaming) and booming personality it’s hard to remember her as just a tiny little baby. I have tons of photos of her on my phone, so much in fact even my cloud was full. But as her first birthday was approaching I realized I didn’t have many as a family and if I did they weren’t exactly photos I wanted to frame and display in our house.
I had to remind myself that as she grows she won’t remember these days. She wont remember AJ and I as young parents, and just as important as it is to capture her it is also important to capture all of us. Right now. In this moment.
On me: Maxi dress, also available in beige here
On AJ: Linen shirt, Chambray shorts
On Coco: Eyelet flutter dress, Jelly sandals
Give me everything high-waist. I bought my first pair of high-waist jeans a few months ago and ever since it’s all i’ll wear. Even my shorts are high-waist. I love the look of them, but even more than that I love not having to worry about my butt hanging out when I bend over or sit down! I’ve gone to the high-waist side and there’s no going back.
Outfit details: One shoulder ruffle top, high waist crop jeans also here, Ray-Ban sunglasses , Coach crossbody bag no longer available but similar here and here, Earrings, Sandals sold out but similar here, Liquid lipstick
Heading to the beach this summer for a weekend getaway? Like most girls, I always way over pack for a 2 night trip and don’t end up actually wearing half the things in my bag. Which is why I have decided to simplify things. Add in some denim shorts and basic tanks to the essentials and your set!
Sunglasses: An obvious essential for any weekend away! My go to always has been and probably always will be a classic aviator. I think they go with everything and are always flattering. My favorites are the ‘small original aviators’ by Ray-Ban. But there are tons of great options. Click on the photos for more details.
Flip-Flops: The Haviana slims are so comfortable and being rubber you don’t have to worry about them getting ruined by the water. They come in a slew of different colors and are under $30.
Statement Earrings: I understand earrings may seem a little out of left field, but they are a great way to instantly elevate a basic tank and denim shorts. So simple.
Straw Hat: Sometimes the sun can get the best of me, so it’s important to pack a great hat that can shield my face if I need to protect my skin.
Duffle Bag: The ultimate cool girl accessory to hold all your goods. I scooped up my ‘escape’ bag at Forever 21 for under $30 and a few days later saw a designer version that was nearly identical for $300!! Mine has since sold out but here are some other great options.
