A Cup of Cheer with Flexbrew

Ho ho ho! 1 week until Christmas! You know what that means.. finishing up all of my shopping, late nights building toys and wrapping presents, attending and throwing parties, hosting family, and early mornings. All of which call for lots of coffee!

How many of you have family over for the holidays? My in-laws live about 250 miles away so they usually come and stay with us for a night or two. Much easier than packing up two littles for a 4.5 hour drive over the possibly snowy mountains. Upset kiddos and a terrified mama (driving in the snow freaks me out) sucks all my Christmas spirit.

Since they don’t drink alcohol, but they do enjoy coffee I thought this year it would be fun to transform our bar cart into a coffee cart! Something everyone can enjoy. I switched out the booze for flavored syrup and chocolate covered biscotti, added some fun holiday cups and wha la! Plus, I can move it right next to the Christmas tree so you can wake up a get your dose of holiday cheer!

The main attraction of the coffee cart is the Hamilton Beach Flexbrew coffee maker which is perfect for the season. It brews K-cups for when it’s just myself and the littles in the morning or an entire pot of coffee once family arrives.

Yup you heard that right! They Flexbrew does BOTH single cups or an entire pot depending on what you need that day, all in one machine. So convenient!

As if that wasn’t enough, it’s also packed with awesome features. You can pick your brew strength, bold please! It’s has auto shutoff providing peace of mind on those mornings you had to rush out the door. It’s programmable, plus it has a pause and serve button. No need to wait for the entire pot before having your first sip. Just pause, pour, and continue brewing!

10 Stocking Stuffer ideas for Toddlers {that they will love}

Ahh to be a kid again! I remember so vividly lying in my room on Christmas Eve desperately trying to fall asleep. When I finally did drift off, it couldn’t have been for very long because my brother and I would wake-up at the crack of dawn and run into the living room. We were allowed to dive into our stockings but were not allowed to open a single present until my parents were up.

We would tear through our stockings in a matter of minutes, and attempt to get their coffee brewing in hopes that would entice them to wake up. In an attempt at more sleep my mom started wrapping everything in our stockings (anything for a few extra minutes of sleep). It worked. Plus we loved it, it was like mini presents. She continued doing that every year until we were grown adults.

Now that I have littles Christmas is such a special time and I am so looking forward to creating those memories with them. They can’t quite reach their stockings yet so I don’t need to wrap what’s inside, but I have found filling them can be a struggle. What do you put in a toddlers stocking??
