Easter is just around the corner. This year we won’t be heading to Church or a big egg hunt, but I will be trying to keep the holiday as normal and fun as I can for my girls. As a kid, my mom always filled our Easter Baskets with something to wear that marked the anticipation of warmer weather. There was always a new bathing suit, a fun spring outfit, or new sandals. As a mom, it’s a tradition I’ve carried on with my girls.
Here are a few Easter Basket ideas for kids so you can save the candy for the egg hunt and fill their baskets with things that they will actually use.
Chalk is always a hit! I love it more now than ever because it bring a little light and cheerfulness to those walking by.
An Easter book. Target has a great selection of cute Easter books at super affordable prices.
A Swimsuit. A cute new swimsuit is an absolute must in our baskets.
A pair of sandals or water shoes. We love to go to the splash pad in the summer so water shoes are a must. I also grabbed a few pairs of sandals to go with their Easter dresses.
Sunglasses. There are so many fun and cute ones for kids!
A fun accessory! Compliment their summer wardrobe with a cute hat, headband, bow, purse, or jewelry.
Last but definitely not least, no Easter Basket is complete without a fun toy or activity. Keep your little ones busy after their egg hunt with a fun kite or terrarium.
